Salad Bowl

I love to draw friendly, exotic animals. For a workshop, we were offered ceramics to illustrate. The animals are positioned around the bowl, pretending to be drinking from a small pool. Whatever is in the bowl, the figures are feasting with you.

Tile

In 2003, Jacob de Baan teamed up with Royal Delft to design a series of contemporary ceramic works of craft. At that time, I did my internship at Studio Jacob de Baan. One of the ideas was to modernize the typically Dutch ceramic ‘wisdom-tiles’. At the Salone del Mobile in Milano, blank tiles were offered to the visitors where they could decorate a tile. My illustration is an impression of the openings act at the Mooi Weer Spelen festival in Delft.
